Collaborative research between The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Kitware is featured in the July 6, 2012 online issue of the journal Radiology. The work involves a new ultrasound system for detecting the effects that small, early-stage tumors have on surrounding vasculature: increased vessel dilation, increased vessel tortuosity, and angiogenesis.
